The farm crew is excited to welcome three new farm crew members during this season: two humans and one horse. Two new Farmer/Educators, Alice Cusick and Connor Rohwer – most recently from Vermont and Minnesota, respectively – joined our crew in late November. And earlier in the month, we welcomed Ted the horse onto the farm.

Ted is a mild-mannered, extremely handsome 19-year-old Belgian/Percheron cross who came to us from Vermont with a plethora of experience in diversified farming and logging settings working both singly and as a team – he’s a man who knows his job and appreciates being petted by students and farmers. We’re happy to report that Ted and Bob are getting along like old friends and have been harnessed and working together in recent weeks.

In other farm news, our piglets have already doubled in size, we’re busily planning gardens for next year’s growing season, and all of the sheep are bred and due in March: lambing season, here we come!
